I think there’s a lot to be said for the handwritten page. There’s no treacherous backspace key, no internet distractions, no instant-revision (which is, more often than not, actually instant-destruction). Just old-fashioned writing. I know I always have a difficult time reading anything off a computer screen, so I always end up printing everything out for hard copies.

I think you have inspired me to go back to basics. I’ll let you know how it pans out.

I am also very digitalized, but still find the pen-paper writing process the best when I want to catch my thoughts, solve a problem or brainstorm – it has another pace than the digital writing and both have their place.

The written word is out of shape, but it can be fixed. My noveling blog is a step toward fixing it. Sure, the book is online, sure it was written mostly on a laptop, but I’ll have you know that a significant portion of it is plotted out and sorta written in a notebook. ^^
